When students engage in content via multiple means of representation, they become resourceful and knowledgeable learners. Content is offered in a variety of ways, and the instructor clarifies vocabulary, mathematical notations, and symbols. Big ideas and patterns are highlighted. This module focuses on teaching practices that make learning content more accessible.

The Escambia Learning Model is our language for sharing research-based practices that make learning visible and benefit all: student and adult.

In Visible Learning: The Sequel, a synthesis of over 2,100 meta-analyses relating to achievement, John Hattie and colleagues identify the most impactful teaching and learning practices. Practices that positively influence student achievement have an effect size of .4 or greater.
